First Fridays ~ El Paso

For those whom have expressed so much interest in “First Fridays.” We’ve decided that the best thing to do is spend some more time working on raising awareness and participation. This is an announcement that the official launch of the “First Fridays” will begin in the Spring of 2011. Between now and the official launch we will be developing new communication and partnerships with galleries, artists, and local businesses.

We will be accepting participating artists/organizations applications as of January 2011. We will post and send out updates every month. Please take a moment to sign up for our email newsletter so we can keep you up to date. Come out, enjoy, support.

Starting as of Early September of 2010 we will be launching several campaigns and fundraisers in support of “First Fridays” and various other arts based causes. If you are an artist, gallery, or local organization interested in supporting, participating, or simply looking for additional information feel free to contact us. We would be happy to devote some time to speak with you.

As you may have noticed we are currently developing an organized monthly arts-based event in Downtown El Paso. The most important factor is raising awareness and participation. If you are an artist, local organization of any kind, or simply just a local lover you’re invited. Tell your friends, tell your family, tell random people you’ve never met.

Starting today we are opening the doors to artists and vendors. If you are interested in participating in our first “First Fridays” which will be held on Friday September 3rd., this is how it works. Please take a moment to read the information below and if you are interested in vending, contact us.

Artist & Vendor Info:

This event is open to artists of any medium (included but not limited to glass, acrylics, photography, sculpture, jewelry, clothing, etc.). All Local companies and organizations interested in participating are welcome to apply as well. We are very supportive of independent and grassroots organizations.

All available space is outdoors. Artists bust be adaptable to display/perform outside. Artists are responsible for brigning what-ever they need to properly display their work (tables, chairs, easels, etc.). There is no electricity which means that all musicians must perform acoustic. A limited 10ft by 10ft tents will be made available if applicable for an additional fee.

Basic Event Info:

Date: Friday September 3rd, 2010

Time: Artists and vendors will be able to load in and set up between the hours of Noon – and 5p.m. The event will be open to the public from 6pm – 10pm. Artists will be responsible for breaking down with in 1.5hrs prior to closing.

Vending Fee: $20

First Fridays Official Launch Party will be held Friday September 3rd, 2010. We are always looking for musicians, djs, artists, dancers, interesting people that are interested in contributing to First Fridays, hit us up!
